Ingredients
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, unlike most of their products, does not highlight skincare ingredients. But both their matte and dewy formulations are non-irritating and are safe for sensitive skin.
After feels β my first impression
Itβs so brainy for Rare Beauty to name their products after positive affirmations and attitudes. I appreciate how theyβre doing their business while subliminally helping the makeup community be kinder towards themselves and others.
Now, I did not buy these blushes because of their names but because of their uncommon shades. The shades are so versatile, you can wear them on your cheeks and your lips! Check out the photos below!
Virtue β beige peach (dewy)
This is one of the newest shades of the collection and I am in love with it! Since I was in grade school, I have always been a fan of orangey and peachy shades of eyeshadows, lipsticks, and blushes. And I know that in this collection, thereβs a shade called Joy β a brighter tone. But after seeing the reviews on social media, I thought it might be too orange on me so I went for Virtue instead. Virtue is accurately described as a beige peach with a dewy finish. Itβs a pretty shade and is the perfect peach shade that I could ever dream of wearing in the summer!
Love β terracotta (matte)
The shade Love is in a matte formula and is described as terracotta. My brain automatically thinks of the clay roof tiles whenever I see the word βterracottaβ.π₯Ή And this shade did not disappoint my brain β it looks like burnt clay roof tiles on my cheeks! While I was thinking I was loyal to the shade Virtue, the shade Love is a bias wrecker! The only thing holding me back from this blush is that itβs hard to blend and you got to work fast with it, or else, it becomes uneven and patchy. I recommend working one cheek at a time with these matte blushes.
Encourage β soft neutral pink (dewy)
Encourage is the type of shade that I would never buy when I see it in its transparent packaging. This was a freebie and came in a cute 1 ml bottle. The color appears to be muted and seems too dull. And even in the swatches, I would have never expected it to look good on me. Surprisingly, it does! I felt like a girly girl. Although I always prefer bright and screaming colors, I was amazed at how pretty this soft neutral pink gives a healthy glow to my cheeks.

Packaging
The packaging of the liquid blush from Rare Beauty exudes a sense of elegance and sophistication, just like their other products. The design features a bottle with a narrow neck that cleverly scrapes the product towards the cushiony doe-foot applicator. However, one minor drawback is that the bottle can get a bit messy when you put the applicator back on.
Fragrance
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush has little to no fragrance. It doesnβt smell like anything.
Color and Pigmentation
Thereβs no denying that these blushes are screaming with pigmentation. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, like its sister, Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Lip Oil offers a variety of rich, intense, and expressive shades. Another feature I like about the Soft Pinch line is that as you go on with your day, it gives you a soft flush of color that makes you look fresh even after wearing it for more than 8 hours!
Longevity
These blushes, my beauteas, stay on top of your cheeks all day! You just have to make sure you apply it exactly where itβs supposed to be because when theyβre set, it will be tedious to remove or cover them up.
Texture and Finish
If youβre using the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes, you might run into some patchiness when youβre blending them, especially with the matte shades. These blushes tend to settle quickly and donβt move around much, so even the dewy formulations can be a bit patchy. Even if you use a brush, sponge, or your fingers, you might still have some trouble blending them. They might look amazing on your bare skin or under foundation, but blending them can be a bit tricky.
Would I buy Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush again?
Oh, definitely! I would buy minis, though. You only need tiny dots of these blushes because they are highly pigmented and I donβt think you can finish a bottle in your lifetime.
How was your experience with these blushes? Do you have any tips on how to blend these seamlessly? Let me know in the comments!
