About Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum
Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal is an anti-aging eye serum with many promises. It aims to mitigate the effects of the loss of protein in our skin, a.k.a. the decrease in collagen and hyaluronic acid, resulting in wrinkles.
It contains Korean Ginseng as the base ingredient and the famous anti-aging Vitamin A, retinal (not to be confused with retinol), as the active ingredient.
Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ingredients
Ginseng + Retinal… are you kidding me? My skin cells were hyped up when I saw their star ingredients!
- Panax Ginseng Root Extract – prevents skin aging by reducing wrinkles and enhancing skin whitening.
- Retinal – a powerful and more effective form of vitamin A compared to the famous retinol, both belong to a compound called retinoids – the most studied and most used anti-aging compound known to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Niacinamide – or nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3 that has brightening, anti-acne, and moisturizing properties.
- Adenosine – stimulates collagen and promotes tissue repair skin moisture content, firming, and elasticity.

First Impression on Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum
I still remember learning about the benefits of ginseng back in fourth gradeβitβs a powerhouse ingredient that revitalizes the body. So, seeing ginseng as one of the key ingredients here got me hyped! Paired with retinal? Thatβs a bold combo, and Iβm expecting serious results.
Packaging
Most serums come in sleek glass bottles with droppers, but Beauty of Joseonβs eye serum shakes things up with a plastic tube and a sanitary pump dispenser. Practical and easy to useβjust what I like!
Texture And Finish
This serum feels ultra-lightweight and hydrating, leaving a glowy, fresh finish that isnβt sticky or oily. Unlike typical serums, itβs not a runny liquidβitβs got a thicker, cream-like texture, which is why so many people call it an βeye creamβ instead. And honestly? It totally works.
Fragrance And Stinging
Luckily, thereβs no scent here. Even better, it doesnβt sting! For a product with retinal, this serum is surprisingly gentle around the eyes. I massage it in circular motions, and even when it gets on my lashes or waterline, thereβs no irritationβjust smooth, comfortable hydration.
5 Months Into Using Revive Eye Serum
Retinoids do the hardcore jobs of unclogging pores, clearing acne, increasing collagen production, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. These processes don’t happen overnight. It takes up to at least 12 weeks of consistent regular use before you can see significant results, and I’m aware of this.
After a full month of applying this eye cream religiously every night, I haven’t noticed any improvement in my skin. I got disappointed, discouraged, and impatient because I was used to this instant gratification that our society subliminally ingrained in our brains.
But the best things in life require patience, perseverance, and consistency. Additionally, if you’ve already spent money on a product, it’s best to use it until it’s finished.
Beauty of Joseon Eye Cream Before and After
After losing enthusiasm and expectations, I would only use the Beauty of Joseon eye serum 4 to 5 times a week, applying it all around my eye areas and on my laugh lines, I often use it at night, and whenever I use it in the mornings, I would make sure I have an extra layer of sunscreen.
When I started using this eye serum five months ago, I took photos of my skin, particularly in the eye areas. Then last week, I tried to replicate the angles and lighting of these photos to see if there were any results. To my surprise, my fine lines and wrinkles have reduced significantly!
These photos were taken with only the Beauty of Joseon eye serum on my bare face. Five months ago, as seen in the pictures, I got streaks of fine lines at the outer corner of my eyes, at the top of my cheekbone, and a single disturbing line across my middle cheek.
Now, even after the inconsistent application of this eye serum, you can easily spot where the reduction of my fine lines is. There are still deeper lines under my eye bags. I didn’t have issues with dark circles before but I can see how this eye serum slightly lightened my skin.
In the photos, you can see fine lines that once stretched across the outer corners of my eyes, the tops of my cheekbones, and one line across my cheek have significantly reduced.
I never struggled with dark circles, but I did notice a slight brightening in my skin tone around my eyes. For context, my skincare routine, diet, and sleep habits have stayed mostly the same throughout this time.
Performance Under Makeup
The serum absorbs quickly and doesnβt interfere with makeupβno pilling or oiliness! That said, Iβd still recommend using it at night instead of under makeup. Thereβs really no added benefit to applying it in the morning.
The Verdict
A thousand percent yes! I’m grabbing supplies for my mom too!
