About the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics is a UVA/UVB-blocking sunscreen with SPF50 and PA++++ with a lightweight formula. Containing 30% rice extract and grain-fermented extracts, it provides moisture and nourishment to the skin. It’s not sticky even after multiple layers of application.
Ingredients
Rice + Probiotics surely caught my attention but there are more goodies in the ingredient list and here are what stood out to me the most:
UV Protection
- Uvinul A Plus β Filters UVA rays which makes it highly desirable in a broad spectrum sunscreen.
- Uvinul T 150 β Filters UVB rays and is particularly water-resistant and long-lasting.
- Tinosorb M β Provides the broadest possible UV protection, protecting your skin from both UVA and UVB rays.
- Iscotrizinol β Protects against UVA II rays and UVB rays
Additional Goodies
- Niacinamide β Or nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3 that has brightening, anti-acne, and moisturizing properties.
- Korean Ginseng Extract β A traditional Korean medicine that helps brighten the skin, and prevent inflammation and UV-induced wrinkles.
- Green Tea Leaf Extract β One of the most researched natural ingredients and is proven to fight aging, UV rays, and inflammation.
- Tocopherol β Or simply, vitamin E, a good moisturizer, powerful antioxidant, and UVB ray protectant.
After feels β my first impression
Looking at the ingredients, you might be tempted to skip your day cream and replace it with this vitamin-packed sunscreen. But donβt. It is moisturizing but not enough for you to skip your day cream, especially if youβre a dry skin babe. For my oily skin beauteas, yes, you could replace your day cream with this all-in-one sunscreen.
Packaging
The Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics comes in a plastic tube and screw cap packed in a minimalist box with both English and Korean scripts.
Fragrance and stinging
No fragrance. No stinging in the eyes.
After a while β likeβ¦ 2 months
Sunscreens are a must in our everyday skincare routine. And itβs 2024. π I hope everybody knows that our skin and overall well-being need protection from the harmful invisible UV rays from the sun. Iβve been using this Beauty of Joseon sunscreen for 2 months now. And so far, so good! It-might-replace-the-watery-sun-gel kind of good!
Texture, finish, and white cast
Its creamy, lotion-like, and lightweight texture makes applying it to the skin easy. Never sticky even after multiple layers. No white cast, and leaves a sheen, dewy finish. Not oily nor greasy. Thank goodness!
Performance under makeup
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics does not interfere with your makeup. Unlike other sunscreens that Iβve tried, this does not clump or make your base patchy. Itβs perfect as a primer as well as under a primer or a liquid/powder foundation. It smoothens out textured skin and adds glow to your look!
After a couple of hours, no matter the finish of your makeup (matte or dewy), this sunscreen finds its way to provide you a sheer glow. Itβs not shiny or oily. Itβs a healthy glow!
Would I Buy Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Again?
Although I still love my Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, I had to try this one because Dr. Dray and my big sis Cassandra Bankson encouraged me to do so and I’m glad I listened to them! So, yes! I will buy Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics again!
